Silver Lining

Hi there !

This is a thought you might know already. But, its been long since I thought about this proverb, and today while I was travelling this proverb struck me and I started to ponder on this thought for a while. Its funny how some things make sense in one way and completely different the next time.

The proverb is "every cloud has a silver lining". I don't know every time I say or think about this proverb, I immediately think of  the movie "Stuart Little 2". Is it the same with you guys? Ok, I don't think you would be as crazy as I am. Anyway, in that movie a father explains this proverb to his "Son" (a mouse!) that, there is always something good behind those dark and gloomy clouds. And that every dark could bring a bright sunny morning.

Its a beautiful thought. The thing is we don't know how bright that day would be, or how long it would last. But, its there, surely there. The more we ponder on this thought, the more we have a reason to be happy. We see the clouds and know good days are coming. And we see the good days and thank GOD for the wait we had to endure and say "it was all worth it!"

Sometimes the anticipation of good days gives us joy. But there is a fine line between anticipating good days and expecting way too much. It is easy to jump from the former to the latter in no time. I am not asking you to not expect great things from GOD. But we must also be real.

We have to labour in the field to expect great harvest. We cannot and should not day dream and expect GOD to do everything for us. It is wrong. And there is no use crying later on. Today is in our hand. Let us make the best use of it. Like this saying, "You give your best, and GOD will do the rest".

And for those folks who have worked hard and are waiting for their reward, there is surely a great reward for you! Your bright, happy and Blessed days are coming! Please wait patiently and in due time you will reap your harvest! Good days are coming and I congratulate you in advance for them!
